The G1 Pro is built on the same recipe as our other green Pro lasers: a 532 nm green dot, a rechargeable 18650 battery with charger, two safety keys and an aluminium body. What it adds is a removable pattern lens. Most of the time you will use it without – as a clean green dot for moving birds on at dusk or pointing out stars – but it is nice to have the option when you want to project a pattern on a wall or a tent.

The G1 Pro is class 2, up to 1 mW, the class intended for sale to the public in the UK, and every unit is measured before shipping.

Practical uses

• Birds on farms, gardens and boats: at dusk and dawn a slowly moving green dot on a roof ridge, a field edge or a deck rail makes pigeons, gulls, starlings and geese uneasy enough to leave. Read how to scare birds with a laser pointer.

Battery and charging

One 18650 Li-ion battery powers the G1 Pro; it is in the box together with a PowerFox charger, which charges the battery outside the laser. Charge before first use; with normal use a charge lasts at least about a month. For regular outdoor use a second battery is worth having – an extra PowerFox 18650 2-pack fits the G1 Pro and can be added to your order.

Safety first

Never point the G1 Pro at people, animals’ eyes, vehicles, aircraft or reflective surfaces like glass and water. Take the safety key out when you have finished and store the laser away from children – it is not a toy, and we only sell to adults (18+).
